So what is the remarkable thing about Sugar Babies? Yes, theyre small pieces of caramel one of the nations favorite sweets. And, yes, theyre packaged in a handy bag, easy to carry and stash in the drawer. As for the name Sugar Babies. Easy to remember for sure. But the name like the candy itself, is memorable for another reason. Sugar babies were one the first marketing endeavors to feature brand extension of products. There was the Sugar Daddy, a caramel lollipop, followed by the Sugar Mama, a chocolate covered Sugar Daddy (no longer in production), and their delightful off-spring, Sugar Babies. Buy one, buy all. Quite a family!
