Strawberry-Filled Candy

Strawberry-filled candies are a favorite at True Treats. The reason could be the texture: a hard, candy shell with a smooth, jelly-like filling. The perfect complement. Or it could be the flavor, sweet as strawberry jam with barely hint of tartness. Or, perhaps the wrapper. While other hard candies were wrapped in clear plastic, strawberry-filled candies were wrapped to look like their namesake – a strawberry with seed-speckled design on the wrapper, and a leaf-like green top.
