This peppermint and molasses candy is classic 19th century where it was a favorite of kids. The flavor is sweet and rich with a bit of zing from the peppermint. Each piece is in classic cough drop style oval and smooth, easy to eat, and perfect when you want a bit of something sweet. This version was made in the 1930s, so-named because the confectioner gave broken pieces to children heading to schoolwhere candy was forbidden.
